Thoughtful interfaces.
Working software.

I’m Danielle. I build products from the first interaction to the systems behind it. React and TypeScript are my home base; the whole experience is my responsibility.

01 / Independent product

Frame: room to think.

My current project is an AI-powered structured-reflection product. I own the product decisions, UX, architecture, implementation, testing, and deployment.

My role
Independent product builder
Tools & systems
React Router · TypeScript · IndexedDB

The product problem

Frame gives a thought somewhere to go. A user shares an initial thought, responds to follow-up prompts, and receives a concise synthesis that surfaces patterns, assumptions, and possible reframes. The purpose is to help people examine their own reasoning.

What I own

I’m building Frame from the ground up, including the reflection flow and its frontend-to-backend integration. Owning the entire product means making the interaction decisions alongside the architecture decisions.

Under the interface

The implementation uses a feature-first reflection flow, local-first persistence with IndexedDB, runtime validation, and a provider abstraction for Anthropic and mock responses. Synthesis routes connect the user’s original thought and follow-up answers to the AI response.

Why this belongs in my portfolio

Frame brings my product judgment and engineering work into one project. It is also where I’m using AI-assisted development while keeping responsibility for architecture and code quality.

The interactive study in this portfolio is a new presentation concept. Its sample content and styling are illustrative, not a capture of Frame’s current interface. It does not call an AI service.

Making usage understandable

02 / ngrok

Make the numbers useful.

I owned a customer usage and billing experience across React, Kafka, Go services, and gRPC. The work connected metering infrastructure to a UI customers could understand.

My role
Software Engineer III · End-to-end feature owner
Tools & systems
React · Go · gRPC · Kafka

The customer problem

Customers needed to understand their usage, plan allowances, and when an upgrade made sense. The experience needed to turn billing data into something they could inspect and act on.

The interface work

I built the usage analytics page with historical usage, a date-range picker, circular usage visualizations with thresholds, and contextual tooltips linking to upgrade paths. I also added missing usage meters in the systems behind the page.

The engineering work

The feature crossed the frontend and the metering pipeline. I worked through Kafka updates, Go services, and a gRPC API to deliver the data the customer-facing experience needed.

The outcome

The experience contributed approximately $150K in annual recurring revenue from free-to-paid conversions and reduced billing-related support tickets.

This portfolio’s usage panel is an interactive recreation with example metrics. It is not a production screenshot or a live ngrok account.

03 / atmos

Make discovery feel connected.

I worked on map-based lot discovery, reusable geospatial components, and filtering interactions in a Vue application.

My role
Senior Software Engineer
Tools & systems
Vue · Mapbox · Google Maps · Cypress

The experience

Users explored lots through a map and a sidebar. I expanded the existing component library with custom map markers, interactive lot popovers, and deeper lot-detail navigation.

Filters that travel with you

I built filtering and sorting, partnered with a backend engineer on the filter contract, and persisted filter state in URL query parameters. Client-side validation handled invalid URL values.

Quality and performance

I introduced Cypress and Vue Testing Library where there had been no automated testing setup, adding coverage around filtering and sorting. I also identified oversized media, compressed assets, and stored images at the dimensions the product needed.

The outcome

Media optimization reduced application size by approximately 60%. The filtering work and reusable components supported the map-and-list discovery experience.

This portfolio’s property list is a recreated interaction study with invented example listings, not a production screenshot or real inventory.

A little context

I care about how it feels.
And how it holds up.

I’m a Staff Frontend Engineer with fullstack experience and a degree in Interactive Arts & Media. I’ve worked solely with startups since 2019, building everything from developer tools to map-based discovery experiences.

I work through the UI details and the systems underneath them. That can mean owning a product like Frame, expanding a component library, or helping a team ship a frontend migration safely.
